Little Guy...Big Truck

So this weekend we had a nice adventure down to Nates mom's house. It first starts out fine even though we got to a late start Saturday morning. I had this great plan of how to get us down to Satsop in decent time with all the stops that needed to be made in the middle. First of all the reason we had to go down there was to replace a transmission in a truck that his mom and hubby were giving to us if we fixed it. Which is awsome because we are bad need of a truck with this house. So anyways we got extremely lucky and on craigslist a guy was parting out his wrecked truck and sold the transmission from that for 200 bucks, which normally a used one was going for between 500-700 on there and a rebuilt was 1500. Well this tranny was located in Roy in the backwoods behind Ft Lewis. So we get to that "area" in no time but our wonderful gps decided to tell us to go to a different street that was the same exact name in that area just way off the path that we needed to be. It ended up taking us to a bunch of really nice houses with gates that you cannot cross, so we were like what the eff how are we to get to this house. So we called the guy and come to find out we passed the road a while back and had to backtrack a good 20 min. So we finally get the transmission after driving for over 2 hrs to get there. Now mind you I get carsick when my husband drives for some reason so not only frustrated but gettin pretty sick. Well I needed to stop at Shipwreck to pay a bill I owed which would take 5 min. I wanted to spend time with a very good friend from shipwreck because one i havent seen her in some time and two her grandma just died, so I was planning on coming back into town to hang out with her. We also needed to stop at a cousins house to drop off clothes for their new baby and little girl. Well Nate gets this great idea oh it would be so much quicker if we take one of the podunk back "old hwys" to get to the cousins house and I just take care of the shipwreck thing later. If you know the area at all yelm hwy isnt exactly the fastest moving hwy and is a royal pain to drive. So we took that yelm hwy and i was hoping i was going to get back to shipwreck in time to pay my bill before they closed. So in the meantime of driving this lovely road I was about to open the door and jump out because i was so tired of driving and the nausia was........well lovely....So ok we get everything done and get to his moms and 5 hrs ago we had left my house which takes 2 1/2 hrs to drive to get to his moms...ok now with all that had to be done i understand not bad but that extra time we could have shaved an hr off that trip easily.
So i drove back up to shipwreck (45min drive) and had a funky night with Steph. So after a fun night i get back to the house at 1230. Well on Sunday nate didnt get the tranny in, in time to come back so nate could work on monday. So i told nate well instead of coming back next weekend he could miss one day and make up the hrs the rest of the week. So on monday he gets the tranny in and come to find out that it wasnt the tranny it was the catalytic converter. So we have an extra tranny, a bunch of hrs that didnt need to be done, a lost day of pay which was like 400-500 bucks and a lot of gas. Oh well more to be done but we got the truck home last night at 10pm and conked out for the night.

Today we get a new doggy :D

Robin's 30th Birthday

So I (Robin) am turning 30 April 18th. I of course feel older but I'm good with it. One of my best friends is planning my birthday party. I am having a "Naughty & Nice" birthday theme. Simple terms its a pajama party. I have already got the corset and skirt (I'm not about to go to a bar in just the corset and underware Nate would kill me and I dont have the guts for it) I am on the prowl for my shoes to go with it. The color theme is black and purple and all of this will be taking place next door at the best bar in the world Doc's Pilchuck Tavern. Now if I can just accomplish loosing enough weight before hand so I can wear my outfit. Ohhh and keep your fingers crossed that I can get Nate in to some womens lingere LOL...

Valhalla Forge on vacation....

Well about a month ago we made the decision of closing down the business because of the economy. I would like in the future to maybe start it back up again but things have to start getting a lot better than it is now. The website only brought in 20 unknown people in almost 6 months when we were guaranteed closer to 250 people. That to me was not worth paying the money for the site. I will be working on though a free site of just stuff Valhalla Forge has done in the past, in hopes someone will maybe want something for "that special occasion". It was great while it lasted.
